Disembodied Voices, Platform One Gallery
Tonight is my last performance at Platform One Gallery at Wandsworth Common station (at 6pm). I've had a good turnout every night, except Wednesday when no one turned up apart from a commuter and I scared him away oops. At least I got a chance to film.
So in case you were wondering what this is all about: Disembodied Voices is a theatrical performance without actors in the traditional sense. It features light and sound - a radio play by Harold Pinter and James Clarke. Each voice is represented by a different light. I designed the lighting and act as a kind of facilitator (although I feel like the executioner in some scenes). I drive the action forward by moving around the space and operating the lights. At Platform One, the audience stood in the theatrical space i.e. on stage and became part of the performance - unwittingly they became the actors.
